Techniques and Theories
CBT: is a structured, goal-oriented form of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. It is based on the premise that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing negative thought patterns, we can improve emotional well-being and adopt healthier behaviors.
Solution Focused: is a type of short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy that emphasizes finding practical solutions to current problems rather than focusing on past issues or analyzing the causes of those problems. The approach is based on the belief that clients have the resources and strengths to resolve their difficulties, and the therapist’s role is to help them access and use these strengths in a focused, purposeful way.
Emotionally focused couples therapy: EFT works by focusing on the emotions and attachment needs that drive behavior in a relationship. It helps partners recognize how they both contribute to creating or maintaining negative cycles, such as conflict, withdrawal, or emotional distance. The therapy then helps them reframe these behaviors in a way that fosters empathy, understanding, and emotional security.
